Looking for an Easter activity this weekend in and around the Chantilly/Elizabeth/Plaza Midwood region? If your kids attend a CMS school, theyll need something to do on Friday, as schools are closed for spring break; look no further than the Easter Egg Hunt at Romare Bearden Park. The festivities kick off at 12:30pm with a Variety Show, followed by a Juggling Show at 1:30pm, and then the Egg Hunt at 2:30pm! This event is free, and also includes other activities like face painting, live music, and balloon twisters. For more information, visit the Romare Bearden Park Site.
Finally, if you would prefer to dine out on Easter Sunday, there are a couple options for Easter Brunch around Plaza Midwood and Elizabeth! The first is at Bistro La Bon in Plaza Midwood. Theyll still be serving the regular brunch buffet fare that everyone knows and loves, but will also be serving the following dishes: lamb chops, roasted Scottish salmon, Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, and sausage and gravy biscuits. Your second local restaurant option is Passion8 in Elizabeth. From 11am-2:30pm on Easter Sunday, theyll be featuring a $38 three-course prix fix menu (bring the kids though, as those under 8 eat free!). Highlights from the menu are ground lamb cumin crepe, kale pasta, and a short rib Benedict on brioche. Happy Easter, everyone!
